Steve Gonzales

Associate Attorney

Steve has dedicated his legal career to pursuing the rights of adults and children with disabilities and regularly represents families and individuals in a variety of areas, including special education matters, estate planning, estate administration, special needs trusts, guardianships, and estate planning. He has successfully obtained appropriate educational programs, the inclusion of children in the least restrictive environment, tuition reimbursement for private school placements, payment for independent educational evaluations, and compensatory education.

Prior to joining the Cirkiel Law Group in 2007, Steve worked at the Civil Rights Project, where he handled federal court matters involving civil rights violations and disability-based discrimination.

He is a member of the Texas Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and served as an Attorney Ad Litem in many guardianship cases dealing will the care of persons with disabilities.

Steve enjoys coaching his children in sports and working on classic cars.
